A public consultation's been launched on draft regulations for an environmental levy on single-use disposable cups.
It's hoped the levy will give people more incentive to choose to re-use.
Minister of State for Communications and Circular Economy Ossian Smyth, said consumers can use a reusable cup when buying a hot drink, or pay 20 cent for a disposable one.
The general public, business and other interested parties are invited to submit their views on the plan.
