The Public Expenditure Minister says a number of one-off measures will be put to government, to help tackle the cost-of-living crisis.
It comes as the Irish Independent suggests a second €200 energy credit will be offered this autumn, as electricity bills grow further.
Minister Michael McGrath says his focus will also be on helping those on lower incomes:
"We do have three broad priorities, one is to look after the most vulnerable, as we can recognize and that the cost of living is having a disproportionate impact on them. That will have to involve a very significant package of one off measures that are targeted and that can be implemented quickly."
