Publicans are warning the reintroduction of time limits for indoor dining will result in pub crawls this summer.

A 105 minute limit is expected to be included in new guidelines allowing the return of hospitality.

Government has yet to sign-off on the proposals, however the Department of Taoisaeach is to give the green light today.

Chair of the Licensed Vintners Association, Noel Anderson, says time limits aren't practical.

"It's a bit of an odd one, to be honest with you.

"I think the government or the people that are making the decisions who think they have their heart in the right place, but all they're doing is facilitating more mass movement of people and potential pub crawls."
