Irish Rail is warning of a busy Easter weekend as major works will affect services on the Cork to Dublin rail line.
Track and bridge renewal works are taking place between Portlaoise and Thurles from the afternoon of Good Friday to the morning of Easter Monday.
The works mean revised rail timetables will be in operation on the route with bus transfers between Portlaoise and Thurles in both directions across the Easter weekend.
Iarnród Éireann has advised its customers to check times before travel, and has strongly recommended pre-booking journeys.
