Some rape survivors are being forced to wait over a year for face-to-face counselling.
The Rape Crisis Network says it's because resources provided by the state aren't enough to meet demand.
There were over 11,400 contacts to their helplines last year, down 13% from 2020, but 7% higher than pre-pandemic levels.
The network's executive director, Cliona Sadlier, says it's unsatisfactory that some survivors wait over a year for help.
