Rapid antigen testing may play an important role in the future of testing programmes, according to a new report.
The Health Minister today published the Interim Report of the Expert Advisory Group on Rapid Testing.
It states that RADTs are an additional tool and not a substitution for existing public health measures.
Minister Stephen Donnelly has asked the group to further investigate areas where it makes sense to deploy the tests.
