One in every 14 girls and women who are raped become pregnant as a result of the attack.
That's according to a new report from the Rape Crisis Network.
Less than half go on to parent their baby and one quarter have abortions.
The network's executive director, Cliona Sadlier, says some rape survivors face a one-year waiting list for face-to-face counselling.
