A restaurant owner says he'd have to charge between €15 and €20 euro for a pint at the moment, to make any profit margin.
Paul Horan from the Esquire in Tramore says that's among the advice been given, as he looks at the viability of staying in business.
It comes as restaurants across the country grapple with huge energy bills and price hikes.
Paul says he knows after 40 years in business, the prices that have been proposed will not cut it with the public.
