Unions representing former An Post workers are calling for a 2% increase to their pensions.
They are set to demonstrate outside the Department of Communications at 1 o'clock this afternoon.
Representatives say while employee pay has risen by almost 14% since 2014, the value of pensions has only increased by 2%.
Bernard Clarke of the Independent Workers Union says their members have waited long enough for what they are owed:
"This year there was an agreement made with impulse to give the pensioners a 2% pay increase backdated to January of this year. Minister Ryan has failed to sign this agreement. We're asking Minister Ryan to sign this immediately. For us the hardship is brought on by day. Skyrocketing inflation that's gone on at the moment, which is wrong now approximately 10%."
