The rising temperature of the Irish Sea is posing a threat to native aquatic life.

Due to the warming of Ireland's coastal waters, new species of fish have been spotted along shores around the country.

Marine biologists warn this is not good news for native Irish species such as cod, pollock and haddock, as they cannot survive in warmer waters.

They also fear large Spanish Octopuses, who have a taste for Irish lobster and crab, could create serious problems within the fishing industry.
