RNLI Asking The Public To Follow Its Safety Advice If Taking To The Water This Weekend

It follows a water rescue in West Cork yesterday

It's warning people to keep a close eye on their family on the beach and in the water.

2 kayakers were rescued at Dunworley Point off the West Cork coast near Clonakilty yesterday.

The Lifeboat, along with the Rescue 115 Coastguard Helicopter and the local Seven Heads Coastguard Unit rescued both men, who had managed to position themselves on some nearby rocks, before climbing uphill.

One man was airlifted to hospital, while the other was taken to shore by the Coastguard unit.
