The Chair of the Oireachtas Media Committee says she struggles to see how tenable some positions on the RTÉ executive board are now.
Senior RTÉ officials will appear before the Committee this afternoon in the wake of fresh revelations at the broadcaster about barter accounts.
A review unearthed more accounts at the state broadcaster which had been used to pay for around 1.6 million euro in hospitality.
It's also been confirmed, all of the top 100 earners are paid in more than 116,000 euro a year.
Committee Chair Fianna Fáil TD Niamh Smyth says she struggles to have confidence in the executive board at this point.
" i have from the first day, to be honest with you.
"Today is going to be the third time we've heard the executive. We were told there was one account, and I don't know how a head of financial services, or a head of commercial, doesn't' actually realise that there's three barter accounts.
"I think that speaks volumes. It goes to the heart of what this originally started out about, and that is the deception of the public and the deception of the Oireachtas Committee and the Minister."
