People who've accessed online porn, are allegedly being targeted in a scam where fraudsters are pretending to be Gardaí.
Cyber security sources told the Examiner, that scammers are accessing email addresses from pornography sites.
After getting the address, they've been contacting users pretending to be Gardaí, in an effort to extort money.
A Garda spokesperson told the paper they're unaware of such a scam at this time, however are advising anyone who might be affected to contact their local station.
