High-earning public servants will see their salaries increased from next week.
Pay restoration for those earning over €150,000 will come into effect from July 1st.
Workers like medical consultants, judges and senior civil servants will have their pay brought back up to pre-austerity levels.
People Before Profit is calling the move an "insult to ordinary people", but legal advice given to Government is understood to have said it couldn't change or delay the pay restoration.
TD Paul Murphy says their pay is already too high:
"I don't think there's any basis or a reason why anybody in our society, public sector or private sector, should be on €150,000 or over €150,000. We talk about a minimum wage, but we don't generally talk about a maximum wage, but I think we should be."
