Irish soldier Sean Rooney was killed in the ambush last month.
23-year-old Private Seán Rooney was killed and three others were injured when their UN vehicle was attacked in South Lebanon.
Today the country's military court charged seven people over the attack.
Only one of the seven charged is in custody, however. Mohammad Ayyad was handed over to the army by Hezbollah last month.
He has been charged with killing Private Rooney and attempting to kill his three comrades with a machine gun.
In addition to an investigation by the Lebanese army, the United Nations and the Defence Forces are separately undertaking their own inquiries.
