Former Sports Minister Shane Ross says RTÉ should appear before an Oireachtas Committee to answer questions about his interview.
Yesterday, Taoiseach Micheál Martin said the broadcaster has questions to answer over the item about Mr. Ross' new book about Mary Lou McDonald - which never aired.
RTÉ says that was an editorial decision which was not influenced by legal issues, and Sinn Féin was not given access to the interview before the decision to bin it.
However, Shane Ross says RTÉ 'got themselves in a total mess,' and should explain how that happened.
