Shoppers are being encouraged not to delay Christmas purchases due to limited supply lines.
A number of factors could see a shortage of supply of some products in the run up to the festive season.
Global lockdowns impacting manufacturing and a sharp increase in demand as economies reopen, are some of the reasons behond the shortages.
Duncan Graham, Managing Director, of Retail Excellence says it's likely there will be less choice for consumers.
"It's across the board, things like toys, electrical items, Christmas decorations, clothing items, all of those things could be impact.
"I'll caveat that by saying I still think there'll be plenty of products out there, but it may just not be the stuff that you want.
"The message has to be if you want something and you see it in the shops now, buy it now."
