Six people have been rescued from a boat that ran aground north of Hare Island on the County Clare shore.
Valentia Coast Guard asked Lough Derg RNLI to help those aboard their 37 foot cruiser yesterday afternoon.
The casualty boat was rocking from side to side and an RNLI crew member checked to ensure there was no water coming in.
The lifeboat towed the the cruiser off the rocks and out in safe water and the cruiser then made way to Garrykennedy Harbour.
