Spanish authorities have issued a number of heat related weather warnings over the coming days.
The country is one of the most popular destinations for Irish holiday makers.
Temperatures are set to hit as high as 45 degrees in some parts of the country.
Alan O' Reilly from Carlow Weather says many areas right across Spain will be affected:
"Yes, indeed, some very high temperatures are expected over the coming days in many parts of Spain and also some of the islands off of Spain, with temperatures forecast to get up as far as 44 or even 45 degrees, with a number of weather warnings being issued now by the Spanish met office".
