A status yellow thunder warning is coming into to effect around now for parts of the South West.
It's valid until 9pm tonight for Munster, Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Offaly, Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.
Met Eireann says there's a risk of thunderstorms bringing localised heavy downpour, hail and localised flooding.
There's also a yellow rainfall warning for Cork, Wexford, and Waterford.
