Students from St. Michael's College in Dublin will make their way home from Greece over the next 24 hours.

It's after two of their classmates died during a sixth year holiday on the island of Ios.

18-year-old Andrew O'Donnell's body was recovered yesterday after he went missing.

Max Wall - who's also 18 - is understood to have fallen ill and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Two separate investigations are underway and post mortem exams are expected to be carried out tomorrow.

Principal of St. Michael's College, Tim Kelleher, says parents have travelled to the island to provide support:

"We've also sent out some of our parent reps and we have four or five parents out there, just keeping an eye on things as the boys prepare to leave. And so we have feet on the ground and we're very grateful to the consular service and to Department of Foreign Affairs for all their help and support with the boys and we hope to get them back as soon as we possibly can."
