Hundreds of people lined the streets of Clones in Monaghan for the funeral of Kiea McCann.
The 17-year-old was remembered as a girl with a "caring nature" who had a great sense of humour, was extremely family orientated, and enjoyed music and pool.
Kiea had hoped to study Childcare in Cavan next year after school.
Meanwhile, the funeral of 16-year-old Dlava Mohammed took place earlier at Clonskeagh Mosque.
Speaking to RedFM News, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar extended the condolences of the nation to everyone impacted by the tragedy:
"The Debs is one of those special occasions in our lives - a rite of passage that marks the transition from being a school child to being a young adult, and as a time filled with opportunity and boundless hope. And for these young lives to be cut short in such an untimely way and tragic manner has gripped the nation. I really just wanted to at the outset to extend my condolences to the family, to the wider community in Clones and also my best wishes to those who are still in hospital. I hope they make a full recovery".
