The Taoiseach says there are no plan to reopen the Redress Scheme for Mother and Baby Homes survivors at this stage.
Micheál Martin says obviously it now has to go to legislation so that could take the best part of 2022.
He says the Government will engage with the opposition and there will be consultation in relation to it.
The Taoiseach says the Commission of Investigation was meant to make investigations more efficient but isn't sure if that's the case:
"There are broader dimensions to the Mother and Baby Homes phenomenon, given its history, how it evolved: from the Poor Houses, to the County Homes, right through the different decades. Whether the commission of investigation was the ideal model remains to be seen. That's not casting any aspersions on those who carried out the inquiry. They have to carry it out within the Terms of Reference and within the law laid down by that commission."
