Minister of State for European Affairs, Thomas Byrne, says it's essential that Ireland has a good gas supply for electricity.
"Leaders are sitting around the table to continue working on solutions.
"We've already introduced a windfall tax on excess revenues that some companies are making.
"Now we want to what is the best way to ensure we have a good gas supply which is essential for Ireland's electricity, but also to ensure that we get that at a much lower price than presently is the case."
