The Taoiseach says he would welcome a motion of confidence in the Government.
Sinn Féin will confirm tomorrow whether it will move a confidence motion in the last week of the Dáil before the summer recess.
It comes as the Government has lost its technical majority in the Dáil after Joe McHugh pulled his support over the mica redress scheme.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin says he would welcome the chance to vote confidence in the Government.
"It's not unexpected in th east week of this parliamentary session that they would put down a motion, opposition parties tend to do that from time to time.
"We have a good working majority, we welcome the opportunity that would present to us to outline the fact that this is a competent and a good government."
