Staggering the closing times of bars and nightclubs could help reduce the stress on taxi drivers at peak times.
That's according to Taxi Alliance Tipperary, who will appear before the Oireachtas later today.
This is just one of the measures the organisation proposes to deal with the lack of taxi services in the country.
Other ideas include the "buy back" of taxi plates between retired and new drivers and a "transport police" to crack down on illegal taxi driving.
