Ireland is in for a "tropical" night tonight, with temperatures not likely to dip below 20 degrees.
A Status Yellow High Temperature warning is in place for the country today, with temperatures expected to hit 32 degrees in some parts.
The hottest temperature in the country yesterday was recorded as 29.3 degrees in the Phoenix Park in Dublin.
Head of Forecasting at Met Éireann Evelyn Cusack says we don't want what some of Europe is experiencing:
"It's been unprecedented 40 degree heat from very early June. Europe's on a second heatwave, so we're just getting a little bit of this now nudging towards Ireland at the moment. We could get tonight what's known as a tropical night when temperatures don't fall below below 20 degrees.
