The Cabinet sub-committee will meet to sign off on measures to curb rampant inflation.
It's expected many of the moves will be targeted, with Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe saying they don't want to do anything to further fuel rising costs.
But Tánaiste Leo Varadkar says there will be measures to benefit everyone as well:
"There's a number of moving parts, the package isn't decided on yet. But I think it's fair to say that there will be universal elements. So that all household benefits. It is important to acknowledge that middle income people, people who on paper may have above average salaries. 40/50,000 are also struggling to pay the bills because often they have to pay mortgages, childcare, rent, all those things. So it is important that we have a universal element to it."
