The father of a young boy with autism says too many families are struggling to access the services they need.
Dermot McGann will walk over 560 kilometres from Malin Head in County Donegal to Mizen Head in County Cork next month to raise awareness and money for four autism charities.

The performance of the RTE Board at the Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee yesterday has been described by Labour TD Alan Kelly as the worst he has ever seen by an institution of the State.
The Committee was told RTE bosses spent TV licence-fee money sending clients on trips to the Rugby World Cup, the Champions League Final and U2 concerts.
The Chair of the RTE Board, Siún Ni Raghaillaigh. admitted the spending was outrageous.

The numbers will be released from the Department of Housing this afternoon.
More than 12,000 adults and children were in emergency accommodation in April.

Mortgage holders will come under further financial strain as AIB is increasing its fixed and variable mortgage interest rates from today.
Homeowners are facing an average increase of 0.46%.
The increase also applies to EBS and Haven.
