A man has died following a two car collision in Cork on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred on McCurtain street in Fermoy on Saturday evening at approximately 8.40pm

Gardai have confirmed in a statement to RedFM News that a passenger in one of the cars who was aged in his 20s and taken to Cork University Hospital in a critical condition has since passed away.

A man in his 40s has died after an accident on Cape Clear island.

The incident occurred on Saturday evening, where it's believed the man was playing football with his family when the ball went over the cliff and he went to retrieve it.

New entitlements to unpaid leave kick in from today.
