Members of the travelling community say it is almost impossible to secure private rented accommodation in Cork.

The comments come as the Traveller Visibility Group say the housing needs of travellers are not being met and have likened the accommodation crisis to a pressure pot waiting to explode

People aged 18-49 can get a COVID-19 booster shot at a walk-in clinic this Bank Holiday weekend.

The European Central Bank is expected to increase interest rates by half a point later today.

That's despite eurozone inflation falling from 9 point 2 per cent in December, to 8 point 5 per cent in January.

Any increase will directly affect Irish tracker mortgage holders, as rates are automatically linked to the bank.
