Councillor Deirdre Forde says she doesn't feel safe walking around the streets at night.
Recent reports show an increase in anti-social behaviour and assaults in the city with drinking in the streets, drug taking and selling and theft in shops being the major issues that people have highlighted.

Visitors to University Hospital Kerry will be obliged to wear masks in an effort to tackle a spike in Covid-19
There were 61 cases of the virus reported in Kerry last week which was up from 30 the week before.
As part of the measures to tackle the spike in Covid there will also be restricted visiting hours at the hospital, only one visitor per patient per day will be allowed in general wards which will have to be agreed in advance with the visitor coordinator.

Tributes are being paid to Sinead O'Connor following her death yesterday at the age of 56.
President Michael D Higgins said Ireland lost one of it's greatest and most gifted composers, songwriters and performers of recent decades.
The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said her "music was loved around the world and her talent was unmatched and beyond compare".
While the Tánaiste Micheál Martin described her as one of Ireland's greatest musical icons.
