Cork City Councillors have voted in favour of the disposal of part of Bishop Lucey Park to the FreeMasons.
The Irish Examiner report that the disposal of 54 square metre parcel of the park for €1 plus €1500 in costs to the Provincial Grand Lodge of Munster free masons will allow an extension to the Masonic Hall on Tuckey street, in order to improve fire safety and access.

Cork's newest bridge has been officially named.
Cork City Council has confirmed that the 4m wide bridge connecting Grange to Tramore Valley Park has been named Vernon Mount Bridge.
598 nominations were received from the Public, through a naming process set up by Cork Cuty Council.
