Thousands of homeowners are facing higher property tax bills.
The Irish Independent reports that many homeowners are caught in what it describes as a property tax trap, following Revenue revaluations.
The areas most affected by bill increases are in Dublin, Meath, Kildare and Wicklow.
However householders in border areas are likely to see a decrease in their bills.
