Three charges of attempted murder have been dropped against a man Gardaí believe to be a member of the Kinahan organised crime gang.
Alan Wilson, with a last address at New Street Gardens, Dublin 8, pleaded guilty to conspiring with others to commit murder and to having two guns in his possession.
Frank Greaney reports for RedFM News:
"Not long after midnight on July 26th 2010, a masked man armed with a gun in each hand approached the front door of The Players Lounge pub in Fairview, Dublin 3.
He opened fire, hitting the doorman and two locals. All three survived.
Opening his case last month, the prosecuting barrister, Ronan Kennedy, said it would be alleged that Alan Wilson was the gunman.
However, the three attempted murder charges have now been dropped and fresh charges were put to him this afternoon.
He pleaded guilty to conspiring with others to murder persons unknown on July 26th 2010.
He also admitted having two guns in his possession on dates unknown between the 24th and the 26th of July 2010.
His sentence hearing will take place on Monday."
