The Tourism Minister says she only flies business class when her schedule demands it.
Catherine Martin has defended taking long haul flights in the higher class despite a higher carbon footprint.
The Taoiseach has also complained that Minister Martin and the Green Party leader Eamon Ryan were being 'singled out.'
Catherine Martin says she will only fly business class when it is absolutely necessary:
"If it's a packed itinerary and if it's in line with policy, then you have to consider everything. It depends on the itinerary, it depends on the trade mission, and if it's needed, then yes, if it's not needed, then absolutely not. Each each mission will be a different decision, that's all I can say to you. I can't predict what the next tourism or trade mission will be."
