The Transport Minister has agreed to review planned increases in road tolls.
It follows concern about the timing of the inflationary price rises granted by TII during a cost-of-living crisis.
Despite saying only yesterday that the money raised was needed to maintain roads and provide public transport services, Eamon Ryan met with the other coalition party leaders last night and agreed to examine the hikes which are due to come into effect from January 1st.
