Sir Elton John has described jazz star Tony Bennett as "the classiest performer you'll ever see" following his death at the age of 96.

He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2016.
One of his best-known songs is 'I Left My Heart In San Francisco' and in that city people have been leaving flowers at a statue of the singer.
