Parents are being offered advice as students collect their Leaving Cert results this morning.
A leading national mental charity have said it's important to support your son or daughter if they didn't get the result they were looking for.
CEO of Turn2Me, Fiona O'Malley, says there are lots of other opportunities:
"My advice to them would be not to panic and to consider a Plan B because there's always a Plan B, available to people whether that's considering maybe a different career option, or whether that's considering repeating it. There's loads of options available to people. I would always encourage parents particularly not to criticize their kids who maybe didn't get what they were hoping to get, because now is not the time for criticism."
