Two people have been arrested as Gardai in Tipperary continue to investigate all the circumstances surrounding the death of Josephine Ray in Nenagh.
The 89 year old was found dead at her home in St. Joseph's Park, Nenagh, last Sunday.
A man and a woman aged in their 50s, were arrested today, in relation to the Garda investigation into the death of Josephine Joan Ray.
They're being detained at Garda stations in the southern region.
The arrests were made just hours after funeral for the 89 year old great grandmother was held this morning at St Mary of the Rosary Church in Nenagh,
Ms Ray was pronounced dead at her home in St Josephs park Nenagh, after a family member found her unresponsive at midday last Sunday.
A post mortem found the great grandmother had died of asphyxiation.
The garda investigation is continuing.
