Two Companies Involved In Restoration Of Iconic Shakey Bridge Have Gone Into Examinership

The Irish Examiner reports an interim examiner has been appointed to L&M Keating Ltd and Kilmihil Rental Stores Ltd.

Their parent company Keating Group says the move was caused by Covid, Brexit and current trading conditions.

City Hall insist efforts to reopen the bridge linking the Mardyke to Sunday's Well are ongoing and say they hope to have the bridge open by December.

The bridge, which is the last pedestrian suspension bridge in Ireland, has been closed since August 2019 and was originally due to reopen around Easter
