Emergency teams were called to the scene of an explosion of 'a viable device' at two residential properties on Hyde Road, Limerick City, this morning.
A man in his early thirties suffered minor injuries to his arm during the incident, which happened shortly after 3am.
Gardaí are looking for witnesses - particularly anyone who may have camera footage from the Hyde Road area between 2.30a.m. and 3.15a.m.
