Two medicinal cannabis products will directly supply the Irish market.

The HSE will tell an Oireachtas committee today one will be available next month, and it's mainly used to treat epilepsy.

67 Irish patients receive medicinal cannabis products, but they're prescribed from a pharmacy in the Hague.

Cork campaigner Vera Twomey, whose daughter Ava Barry has epilepsy, says more cannabis medicines are needed.

"I would be concerned that although the addition of another CBD product in itself is positive, the absence of the ability for consultants to be able to prescribe THC medication to work in tandem with CBD oil is going to lead to the experience that many of us have had with our family members."
