Two separate investigations are now underway into an attack on a teenager in Co. Meath.
The victim suffered apparent facial injuries in the incident in Navan this week which is now the subject of a garda investigation.
The Louth Meath Education and Training Board is also investigating the incident, as some of those involved were wearing their school uniforms.
Officers are asking people to stop sharing footage of the attack online.
Sinn Féin TD for Meath West, Johnny Guirke, says the display of violence is unacceptable.
"It was shocking and disturbing, and very, very upsetting.
"When you would see it, it would really really annoy you, and I hope that young fella is alright, and I'm thinking of him and his family after seeing it, and it's not right and it shouldn't be tolerated anywhere in society."
