Pandemic lockdowns made little difference to the world's pollution levels, according to the United Nations.
It warned the world is still heading in the wrong direction, with global emissions 1.2% higher this year than in the same period in 2019.
The UN said it was driven by pollutants from Europe, India and the US.
There are now five times as many weather-related disasters than 50 years ago, inflicting costs of €200 million every day.
