Ian has become the second-deadliest hurricane to hit the United States mainland this century.
In the eight days since it hit south-west Florida, 101 deaths have been linked to the storm.
Medical examiners in the state say 92 people died there, five in North Carolina, three in Cuba and one in Virginia.
