The use of e-scooters will be banned for anyone under the age of 16.
It'll form part of new laws to regulate the use of the vehicles on Irish roads.
Transport Minister Eamon Ryan had earlier said any age restriction would be unenforceable, however the Irish Examiner reports the age limit will now be introduced after interventions by the Justice Minister, Gardaí and the Road Safety Authority.
