Leo Varadkar has confirmed there will be a rotating Taoiseach for the first time as part of the programme for government.
It's expected Micheál Martin will become Taoiseach first and swap over after an agreed period of time.
A programme for government is expected to be agreed in the coming hours as last minute talks between the leaders of Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and the Greens continue.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has confirmed the his current job will be rotated as part of the arrangement if a deal is passed.
He also says they've reached agreement on the increase in the state pension age.
"The state pension age will be deferred, pending a commission to examine it and that's clearly timelined in the programme for government.
"There'll be a rotating Taoiseach and we've agreed a date for that rotation to happen.
"I anticipate we'll be able to sign off on the document this morning and bring it to our parliamentary parties.
"This is an agreement that from my point of view certainly and the point of view of the country is going to be a good one, and one which is very much in line with Fine Gael values and principles."
