Anyone planning to travel to the US from next month will have to be fully vaccinated.
All vaccines administered in Ireland, including the AstraZeneca will be accepted by US authorities.
An order, signed by President Joe Biden yesterday, will also require people to take a PCR test 72 hours before their flight.
Eoghan Corry, Editor of Air and Travel Magazine, says different rules will apply to children under-18.
"Everybody going in will have to be double vaccinated, and they'll need a PCR test 72 hours before they travel.
"Under the age of 18 you don't need to be double vaccinated, but you will need a PCR test."
