Gardaí are questioning a woman in connection with the death of 6-year-old Matthew Healy in County Waterford.
The woman in her late 30s was arrested at the scene where the boy's body was found near Dunmore East on Friday.
Southern Correspondent with the Irish Independent, Ralph Riegel, says Gardaí had been unable to question her until today
"Her questioning period never commenced over the weekend. The lady was in a very distressed condition when she was arrested and she was referred for both medical and psychiatric treatment. Now, the gardai required medical clearance to interview her, and that medical clearance didn't come until today"
